Updates and corrections (3 Apr 2012)

THE EMPEROR AND THE WHITE SNAKE is an AKA for THE SORCERER AND THE WHITE SNAKE (2011).

Currently listed as a Korean production from 1978, THE FIVE BARRIERS turns out to be a co-production between S.Korea and Hong Kong, with a copyright date of 1979. Footage from the HK version of this film (RIVALS OF THE SILVER FOX) later turned up in the US home video version of Thai film GOLDEN MANNEQUINS (see below).

A GAMBLER'S STORY (HK - 2001) was filmed and released at 1.85:1, and has now been dropped from the filmography.

The film currently listed as GOLDEN DESTROYERS is a Thai film (not a HK/Thai/S.Korean co-production, as currently stated) titled GOLDEN MANNEQUINS. Destroyers is an AKA, under which title the film includes a small amount of footage from RIVALS OF THE SILVER FOX, the HK version of Korean film THE FIVE BARRIERS (see above). However, I've yet to determine the production year of GOLDEN MANNEQUINS, which is either late 1970's or early 80's; the original Thai title also remains elusive.

The following entries are currently listed as incomplete because, until now, I hadn't been able to identify the photographic process utilised during principal photography. In all cases, they have now been identified as 'CropScope', ie. cropped from one ratio to another for a 2.39:1 release print: HELA HÄRLIGHETEN (1998), HIDEAWAYS (2011), IN QUESTO MONDO DI LADRI (2004), IRÈNE (2002), JÄRNGÄNGET (2000), THE KATE LOGAN AFFAIR (2010) and KUMA (2012).

A long-standing mystery is now resolved: Ultra-obscure 'Toho' film THE HURRICANE DRUMMER (1966) turns out to be a Nikkatsu production, directed by Toshio Masuda. The Japanese title has also been identified.

The film currently listed as Impuscaturi pe Portaviv should actually be listed as ÎMPUŞCĂTURI PE PORTATIV (1967). However, the film's anamorphic format remains unidentified.

Online clips reveal DIE INSEL DER BLUTIGEN PLANTAGE (1983) was shot with anamorphic lenses, though I haven't been able to identify the specific format utilised during principal photography.

Until now, there was some doubt as to whether KEY WITNESS (1960) was shot anamorphic or spherical, though online clips confirm it was shot anamorphic (with Panavision lenses, though it was promoted as having been filmed in 'CinemaScope').

The copyright year of Thai film KILLER is confirmed as 1975 (2518 in the Thai calendar). However, the film's director remains unidentified.

Though currently listed as separate films, KUNG FU EXORCIST turns out to be an AKA for SHAOLIN MONK (1977). The same goes for KUNG FU QUEEN, which is confirmed as an AKA for THE AVENGER (1972).
