Updates and 'augmentations' (9 Apr 2012)

Main scope filmography at AWSM

The following films were shot with spherical lenses and cropped in post for a 2.39:1 release print: OUD L'WARD (2007), LA PETITE APOCALYPSE (1993), RECTO/VERSO (1999), RESTONS GROUPÉS (1998), RIEN À FAIRE (1999), SAÇ (2010) and S.O.S. (1999).

THE OLD MAN WHO READ LOVE STORIES (2000) was photographed in Hawk Scope.

The director of ...A PÁTY JEZDECH JE STRACH (1967) should be listed as Zbyněk (rather than 'Zbynek') Brynych.

THE POWER OF NINJITSU (1987) is a mixture of newly-shot material intercut with footage from Korean film OSAKA GODFATHER (1986).

PULSAR (Belg - 2010) and DER SCOUT (EG/Mongolia - 1983) were filmed and presented at 1.66:1 and have now been dropped from the filmography. Similarly, REGÍNA! (Ice/Can - 2002) turns out to have been filmed and exhibited no wider than 1.85:1, and has also been dropped. Same goes for RAT FINK (USA - 1965) - also known as MY SOUL RUNS NAKED and WILD AND WILLING - which appears to have been filmed and exhibited no wider than 1.85:1.

Online footage confirms that both SQUILLO (1986) and SLUŽBENI POLOŽAJ (1964) were shot with anamorphic lenses, though I've yet to identify the actual process on both films.

This page at the Hong Kong Movies Database avers that the 1980 copyright year for SUPER DRAGON'S DYNAMO is no more than an estimate, so I've put a question mark next to the relevant information. However, the name of the director still hasn't been identified.

The following entries require only small - though crucial! - adjustments. Most of them are Romanian films, and certain letters in their written alphabet require specific 'highlights' which I'd missed until today. There are probably many others scattered throughout the filmography which require this kind of augmentation, and I'll amend them whenever I stumble across them. For now, here's what I've found so far:

The film currently listed as Rascoala should be listed as RĂSCOALA (1965) and its director as Mircea Mureşan.

The film currently listed as Rautaciosul Adolescent should be listed as RĂUTĂCIOSUL ADOLESCENT (1969). The shooting format has yet to be identified.

Similarly, the film currently listed as Razbunarea Haiducilor should be listed as RĂZBUNAREA HAIDUCILOR (1969).

Restul e Tacere should be listed as RESTUL E TĂCERE (2007).

Saptamîna Nebunilor is SĂPTĂMÎNA NEBUNILOR (1971). Shooting format still unidentified.

The film currently listed as So Viel Nackte Zärtlichkeit should be listed as ...SOVIEL NACKTE ZÄRTLICHKEIT (1968). Again, the shooting format remains unidentified.
